  Grateful for a well-planned safari adventure

“My husband and I traveled with two of our adult sons to Tanzania for a safari adventure. Initially, we were overwhelmed with the multitude of options online for companies offering safari experiences. In January 2025, I found an article online entitled “What I Wish I Knew Before Visiting Tanzania for Safari.” The article was on the BornWild website and at the end there was an opportunity to request more information. I submitted that request, and I am very glad that I did.
Kate replied within 24 hours, and we began a conversation that led to our outstanding safari experience in October 2025. Our correspondences with Kate were always professional with a personal touch. She welcomed our multitude of questions and concerns over the next months and always responded in a timely and courteous manner. She helped us craft a safari that fit our timeline, our budget and our location preferences. As our safari approached we came to realize that Kate’s attention to detail helped to give us confidence moving forward. We had a zoom meeting with her in August 2025. After that meeting we felt like we were working with a trusted friend. Kate made our satisfaction a high priority.
Our safari included Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, a Maasai Village and Serengeti National Park. Kate arranged for our airport transfers, our accommodations, our driver/guide, park permits and most of our meals. Her guidance was invaluable regarding preparations leading up to our trip. Every question was treated with high significance.
Our actual safari was guided by Aston, who was extremely knowledgeable about the animals, plants and areas we visited. Aston truly loves what he does and gave us the best possible experience while keeping us safe and being considerate of the animals and the environment. In our 5 days with Aston, we recorded at least 55 unique animals in the wild. Although we took many pictures, they do not capture the full beauty and awe of what we experienced. It exceeded our expectations.
We would highly recommend BornWild to anyone considering an African Safari. Kate will personalize the experience and make you feel like the most important part of her job.”

  Our driver in the city, Charles, was also wonderful. He was just as kind and welcoming, and made getting around the city easy and enjoyable.

“Our journey began on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, in Arusha, Tanzania where we transferred to our lodge for an overnight stay to relax and settle in before the adventure ahead. The next day, we took a small charter plane and flew to Ndutu in the southern Serengeti. Once landed, we went on an afternoon game drive across the iconic plains, watching the wildlife. Day three was a full day exploring the Ndutu and Serengeti area, where we saw large herds of wildebeest and zebras along with predators, finishing the day with a romantic sundowner as the sun set over the savanna.
On day four, we started with a sunrise game drive in Ndutu before traveling to the Ngorongoro Highlands, where we experienced a guided walk along the crater rim accompanied by an armed ranger. The following day, we descended into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive, known for its dense wildlife population, before transferring back to Arusha for the night. On the final day, we had a private transfer to the airport for our onward flight to Zanzibar, marking the end of our unforgettable Tanzania adventure.
For the first two nights we stayed at Serengeti Classic View Camp, and on the third night we stayed at Embalakai Ngorongoro Camp. From beginning to end, everything was exceptional. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, always going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Both camps were beautiful, spotless, and thoughtfully designed to blend naturally into the surroundings. The food was fantastic, and waking up to sweeping views with wildlife roaming in the distance felt like a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
Our guide, Jackson, was incredible, very respectful, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife. We learned so much from him, and he made every game drive even more memorable. Kate, the founder of Born Wild, was also wonderful to work with. From start to finish, she was helpful, responsive, and checked in with us throughout the booking process leading up to our arrival in Tanzania, which made everything feel seamless and well organized. We truly felt supported the entire time. We would highly recommend this experience to anyone planning a trip to the Serengeti and would absolutely suggest booking with Born Wild.
