BornWild has purpose

Here at BornWild - We want to change the way people travel and protect this beautiful planet. Our mission is to create more than just amazing travel adventures.

We want to support the protection of wild animals, reduce plastic bottle waste on our trips and of course, offer unique and experiential global adventures to our travellers and offset our carbon emissions.

Through each adventure we are making it our mission to accomplish all 4! Scroll down to read more about our achievements so far!

Our mission from the start has been to create unconventional & unique travel adventures that are born through wild imagination with the aim to experience the world unmapped.

Our extraordinary experiences match those who are seeking something truly exceptional. We strive to create adventures that are unlike any other adventure on offer. Everything is possible and endless opportunities to explore are everywhere! Why stop at the ordinary? Ordinary isn’t what makes life incredible.

mission 2

Working towards a thriving animal kingdom is a purpose extremely meaningful to us. Our work enables us to support a specially selected group of renowned conservation organisations who directly tackle global wild animal issues.

The future of wildlife is in our hands and if we focus on making a positive impact, we can change the narrative and create a brighter future for our planet’s creatures and habitats.

Being part of a BornWild adventure will aid in the protection and preservation of an array of varied and meaningful wild animal projects. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to make the change we can today!

mission 3

Offset our carbon emissions

We are working together with BCP to slash our travel emissions and to remove carbon in the atmosphere. We are making it our mission to offer every traveller to offset their carbon emissions when travelling our adventures.

Deforestation is a global problem that accounts for about 11% of the worlds emissions. BCP develops forest carbon and lion carbon projects in areas of global biodiversity significance, to conserve Africa’s wildlife strongholds and deliver powerful community impacts.

BCP are helping to create one of Africa’s largest migration corridors, by protecting the habitat linking 5 National Parks in Zambia to conserve biodiversity connectivity for Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Mozambique.

mission 4

Reduce Plastic Bottle Waste

Plastic pollution is causing disastrous damage to our planet and oceans. Tons of plastic waste leak into our oceans every year killing and injuring fish, seabirds and marine mammals. Plastics take thousands of years to decay resulting in fish and wildlife being intoxicated. The toxins from the plastics enter the food chain, threatening human health too.

Our mission is to eventually ban the use of plastic bottles on our trips altogether. In 2018 we banned the use of plastic bottles on all our day trips. In 2021 our mission is to ban 70% of plastic bottles on our multi-day trips with the vision of banning it completely as quickly as we can. We are also building out plastic free travel adventures - watch this space!
