GOING TRAVELLING ALONE

Heres why you shouldn't think twice about traveling on your own

STOP PROCRASTINATING NOW AND START DOING

Days turn into weeks, weeks turn into months and months turn into years and before you know it you're hitting 40 without a stamp in your passport. Its gloomy, its depressing and that little voice in your head will be screaming "Where has my life disappeared to?". Think back and tell us what your best memories in life are? They probably consist of far flung places, friends, journeys, experiences or loved ones. It probably doesn't consist of a new pair of shoes or new car. Weighing up the prospect of buying that or seeing the world? See the world! Otherwise you'll be sitting in your rocking chair at 90 years old saying "I didn't do that because my friend didn't want to" now is that a story you want to tell the grandkids?

PUTTING YOU FIRST

Get out of bed when you want. Seeing what you want, when you want. And if you've had enough of a place and are getting bored then you just leave. NO. MORE. DOING. THINGS. YOUR. FRIEND. WANTS. YOU. TO. DO. We've all been there, your friend suggests spending yet another day sunbathing at the beach you (reluctantly) say "yea sure ill do that" and secretly you're thinking "kill me now". Heres the good news, if you travel solo you won't have this problem.

EXPOSE YOURSELF TO RANDOMNESS

When you are going travelling alone, you'll surely get those moments when you think "I haven't had a conversation with someone for two days now, I NEED TO TALK TO SOMEONE!!!" And this is good! This will make you feel the dire need to have conversations with people outside the hotel walls and make you experience things. This is when the fun begins .......

YOU'LL ONLY REGRET THE THINGS YOU DONT DO

We all have a friend that seems to have the most amazing life broadcast on social media, always seems to be in a different part of the world, looking sunkissed at all times and has an abundance of friends. Even though we may look upon them with envy, we should take a leaf out of their book and start living and not just existing. Take the first step and book a trip you've spent your life dreaming of and live the life you want to live.

FEEL THE FEAR AND DO IT

Do you think John Muir set about his travels on conservation with the thought of "Im in fear of doing this on my own so I won't". No, he just went ahead and did it anyway and got to be a national inspiration along the way. A wiseman once taught us that "What is paralyzing us and keeping us from living confidently is the devil that instill's fear inside us".

Luckily you landed on this blog post because BornWild is perfect if you are travelling on your own.
